Privacy Policy

The principle: your data, your rules

Pathlete exists to give Athletes ownership of their verified performance data. Every Athlete controls what appears on their Pathlete Profile, a parent or guardian holds that control for minors, and we never sell personal data · to anyone, for any reason.

What we collect, and why

• Registration information. At Waitlist reservation we collect Athlete name, birth year, position, club, home state, and a parent or guardian's name and email. Birth year determines the age group; a full date of birth is not collected at reservation. Eligibility and residency are verified at registration.
• Combine measurements. The performance data captured on event day by our independent measurement partners (KoraStats for Technical and Tactical, VALD for Physical, S2 Cognition for Mental) and match film, including automated tagging of touches by jersey number.
• Height and weight. Recorded at event check-in as part of the verified profile.
• Platform activity. Profile views, shortlist adds, report opens, and messages, used to power the notifications Athletes and Families see and to show who is engaging with a profile.
• Payment records. Order details only. Payments are processed by our payment provider; Pathlete never stores card numbers.

Children and parental control

Pathlete serves youth Athletes, and the account structure is built around that fact. Accounts for Athletes under 18 are created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian, who provides consent at registration. Guardians see everything the Athlete sees: nothing on Pathlete is hidden from a parent. And can edit, restrict, or delete the Athlete's profile at any time. We collect from minors only the information needed to run the evaluation and the profile their guardian has asked us to maintain.

Who can see what

• The Athlete and their guardians see the complete file: scores, reports, film, and all activity on the profile.
• Verified Coaches. Identity and program checked before access. Can view Pathlete Profiles, verified scores, rankings, and film. Every Coach view is logged and visible to the Family.
• The public may see identifiable results or rankings only where a separate, revocable guardian release covers publication. A Family controls profile visibility to verified Coaches. Reservation Terms and marketing opt-in do not authorize public results, film or photography.
• Coach contact with Athletes runs through the platform's messaging, where NCAA contact windows are enforced automatically for every class year.

Partners and processors

Measurement partners process event-day data solely to produce your verified results. Service providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) handle data only as needed to operate the platform, under contractual confidentiality. None of them may use Athlete data for their own purposes, and none may sell it.

Retention and deletion

Verified results stay on the profile for as long as the account is active. The profile's value is its history. A guardian may request deletion of the Athlete's profile and personal data at any time; we complete deletion within 30 days, keeping only what payment and tax law require us to retain about the order itself.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access inside Pathlete is limited to staff who need it to run events and support Families, and Coach access requires verification. No system is perfect; if an incident ever affects your data, we will notify affected Families promptly.

Younger Athletes and publication consent

The under-14 notify list is not open while collection awaits clearance. With birth year alone, we use the youngest possible age in the cohort, so a cohort that may include under-14 Athletes cannot submit personal details.

Families outside the Year 1 birth years can request future age-group updates where collection is available. These updates are marketing and require the separate optional opt-in.

Publishing an identifiable minor's photo, film or result requires a signed guardian release covering that use. It can be revoked by contacting support@pathletesports.com. This consent is not collected at reservation.

Marketing consent

Marketing email is opt-in. Every form that can add you to a marketing list carries a tick box that is off by default, and submitting the form without ticking it is always allowed. We record whether you ticked it, and when, so we can show the basis on which we contacted you.

Accepting the Terms does not opt you into marketing. The two are kept separate on purpose: consent to be marketed to has to be a specific, affirmative choice, not a by-product of using the site.

Withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by writing to support@pathletesports.com. We act on it on receipt. Messages about a reservation, an account, or a question you asked us are not marketing and continue regardless.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and privacy-respecting analytics to understand what pages are used. No advertising trackers are placed on Athlete or Family accounts.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially, account holders are notified by email before the change takes effect. Questions or requests: privacy@pathletesports.com.
