Pathlete Sports ("Pathlete," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of athletes, parents or legal guardians, coaches, scouts, and other users who interact with our websites, events, and digital platforms.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the rights you have regarding your personal data. It applies to all Pathlete websites, waitlists, showcase events, digital platforms, and related services.

  • Parents and legal guardians
  • Coaches, scouts, and evaluators

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

A. Information You Provide Directly

We may collect the following personal information when you join our waitlist, register for an event, use our platform, or communicate with us:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Parent or guardian contact information (for minors)
  • Athletic profile information
  • Performance data, including Pathlete Scores and evaluations
  • Photos, videos, and media captured at showcases
  • Communications and support requests

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website or platform, we may collect:

  • IP address and general location (city/state)
  • Pages viewed and interactions
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 10)

C. Information from Third Parties

We may receive verified performance or evaluation data from trusted partners, including but not limited to:

  • S2 Cognition
  • KoraStats

These partners process data under contractual obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Provide and operate Pathlete services
  • Evaluate athlete performance and generate verified scores
  • Deliver showcase events and digital profiles
  • Communicate updates, logistics, and opportunities
  • Match athletes with opt-in scouting and recruiting opportunities
  • Improve platform performance and user experience
  • Analyze marketing performance and demand
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell personal information.

5. Age Restrictions & COPPA Compliance

A. Minimum Age

Pathlete services are available only to individuals 13 years of age or older.

  • Under 13: Registration is blocked.
  • Ages 13–17: Parent or legal guardian consent is required.
  • Age 18+: May register independently.

Birthdate is required at registration to enforce age restrictions.

B. Parental Rights (COPPA)

Parents or legal guardians of athletes under 18 have the right to:

  • Review their child's personal information
  • Request correction or deletion of data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Prevent further data collection or use

Requests may be submitted to privacy@pathletesports.com.

If parental consent is withdrawn, the athlete may no longer participate in Pathlete services.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We share personal information only as necessary and as described below.

A. Internal Use

Data may be accessed by authorized Pathlete personnel for:

  • Event operations
  • Athlete evaluation
  • Platform support
  • Marketing and analytics

Access is role-based and restricted.

B. Third-Party Service Providers

We may share data with trusted partners who help deliver Pathlete services, including evaluation, analytics, hosting, and communications. These partners are contractually required to protect personal information.

C. Coaches and Scouts

Athlete data is shared with coaches or scouts only when the athlete (and parent, if applicable) opts in to visibility or recruiting exposure.

D. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Pathlete, users, or others.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect personal data, including:

  • Encryption: AES-256 at rest; TLS 1.2+ in transit
  • Access Controls: Role-based permissions and multi-factor authentication
  • Monitoring: Ongoing security monitoring
  • Audits: Periodic third-party security assessments

While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services and meet legal obligations.

  • Data may be retained for up to three (3) years after account deletion for legal, audit, or compliance purposes.
  • Media and performance data may be retained for historical and verification integrity unless deletion is requested.
