Built compliant by design

The Pathlete platform is designed so Athletes, Families, and college Coaches can use it without risking eligibility. Compliance is enforced by the product, not left to memory. The rules below are not guidelines we ask users to follow; they are how the platform behaves.

Contact windows are automatic

Messaging between college Coaches and Athletes is locked or unlocked by the platform according to NCAA contact rules for the Athlete's graduating class, classes of 2027 through 2030 in Year 1. During quiet periods, threads are read-only and labeled with the date they reopen. Neither a Coach nor a Family can override a window, and every message lives inside the platform where the Family can see it.

Coaches are verified

Coach accounts require identity and program verification, completed within 48 hours of application. Only verified Coaches can view full Athlete files, and every profile view, report open, and watchlist add is logged and visible to the Athlete and their guardian. There is no anonymous scouting on Pathlete.

Amateurism protections

• Advancement through the Pathlete pathway is earned on verified score and is at no additional cost, no Athlete ever pays for advancement, placement, or visibility.
• Rankings and tiers are locked to the verified Pathlete Score. They cannot be purchased, sponsored, or manually adjusted, for anyone.
• Pathlete events are standardized evaluations open by registration. They are not tryouts for, and are not affiliated with, any professional or collegiate team.
• The Coach platform is complimentary in Year 1; no program pays for access to any individual Athlete.

For Families: what this means practically

• Your Athlete competing at a Combine does not affect amateur status. It is a paid evaluation service, like any showcase or ID event, with no compensation to the Athlete.
• If a Coach can message your Athlete on the platform, the contact is inside NCAA windows for their class. If they cannot, the platform will show when the window opens.
• Recruiting rules ultimately bind schools and their coaches; when in doubt about a specific situation, the school's compliance office is the authority.

No outcome guarantees

Pathlete Sports does not guarantee recruiting outcomes, scholarship offers, or college placement. The platform provides verified performance data and visibility tools designed to support Athlete development and Coach discovery. Outcomes depend on individual Athlete performance, eligibility, and Coach evaluation criteria.
